Stampede Holds Dance Tryouts

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (October 1, 2009) - The Harrisburg Stampede Spirit/Cheer Dance Team will hold an open audition this Saturday morning, October 3rd, from 9:00AM until noon. The tryout will be held at the Nee Dance Company, located at 2040 Derry Street in Harrisburg. The event is closed to the public.
Last year, the Spirit/Cheer Dance Team rapidly established itself as one of the best in Central Pennsylvania. This year's squad will again entertain at all Stampede home games, as well as make a number of public appearances throughout the year.
Female dancers must live in Central Pennsylvania and be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Competitors must have previous dance experience in jazz and hip hop. Tumbling skills are a bonus, but not considered to be a requirement.
Participants must complete a registration form, which is available for download at stampedespirit@harrisburgstampede.com. Full details on requirements for the tryout session are also available at the same web address.
Those trying out for the team should be prepared to make a one-year commitment for practices and scheduled promotional events.
