AIFA Adds Revolutionary Franchise for 2010

October 1, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release

BALTIMORE, Maryland (October 1, 2009) - A revolution is coming to the American Indoor Football Association for 2010. Specifically, the AIFA is adding the New Jersey Revolution to its ranks for next season.

The Revolution is based in Morristown, New Jersey. The team will enter its fifth season of indoor football next year.

"This team has a very good track record," said AIFA co-founder John Morris. "They are in it for the long haul, and they believe in the sport and the AIFA.

"The Revolution will be a perfect fit in the American Indoor Football Association. They are well located within our franchise footprint, which will lead to reduced operating expense. And the Revolution will participate in our unique league benefits, including playoff expense support, our national TV package and continuing multimedia exposure through our Internet radio program, This Week in the AIFA.

Historic Morristown is located approximately thirty miles west of New York City in the densely-populated New Jersey suburbs. The team plays its home games at the William G. Mennen Arena and is owned and operated by Champion Sports & Entertainment.

"I think it's a better fit for us in the AIFA," spokesman Anthony DeFalco told This Week in the AIFA. "Being with an eight-on-eight league and with the regional teams closer, it will definitely help the bottom line. We will have some excellent rivalries, and I think it will be great for the fans to come and see it."

Additional remarks from Anthony DeFalco can be heard on the upcoming edition of This Week in the AIFA, which will be released next week. The program will also feature an extended interview with AIFA co-founder John Morris.

The league is continuing its expansion efforts for 2010.
