Sioux Falls Stampede News Release

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede are making final preparations for the USHL Entry Draft which will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) starting at 4 PM. Fans can follow the draft online at www.ushl.com and all the Stampede picks through the Stampede website www.sfstampede.com as well as the Herd's Facebook page (Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club).

The Stampede hold the #1 overall pick in the draft this year. It marks just the second time ever that Sioux Falls has held that spot. In 2004, the Herd selected Tom Gorowsky with their top pick. He finished the 2004-05 season second on the team in scoring, posting 53 points in 54 games.

The number of selections the Stampede make in the draft will depend on the number of players that are placed on the Herd's protected list prior to the draft. Each team will have a total of 30 players on their roster at the end of the day in addition to ten affiliate players consisting of 1995 and 1996 born players.

All the players selected will participate in the Stampede's tryout camp, set for June 1-4 at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. More information on camp will be made available in the next week.
