
Stampede hit the road for the Windy City

The Sioux Falls Stampede will hit the road for the first time this weekend when they travel to Chicago to face the Steel in a pair of games, Friday and Saturday. Game times are 7:30 PM. Last year, the Stampede went 3-1-0 against the Steel.
Chicago is 1-1 on the season after falling at home to Cedar Rapids on Friday and defeating Waterloo on the road on Saturday. The Steel are led by veteran forward Andy Miele who posted three points (2g, 1a) in the first weekend. Last year, Miele recorded 42 points (13g, 29a) 45 games.
The Stampede are coming off a 6-3 season opening loss to the Omaha Lancers Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Jake Hansen, Jack Connolly and Gabe Guentzel all scored in the loss for the Stampede who unveiled their 2007 Clark Cup Championship Banner prior to the start of the game.
After this weekend the Stampede will play six straight home games.
YOUTH HOCKEY SELLING PROGRAMS-
The Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association will be selling Stampede game night programs at every home game this season.
Look for Sioux Falls Flyers players in the arena lobby and throughout the concourse at the next Stampede home game.
A portion of all the proceeds collected each night will be donated to the Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association.
