
Stampede Continue Road Swing this Weekend

The Sioux Falls Stampede continue their four-game homestand with games in Des Moines and Sioux City this Friday and Saturday. The Stampede enter the weekend with a 16-14-6 record and in fourth place in the West Division. The Herd are 2-1-1 in their last four games.
On Friday, the Stampede face the Des Moines Buccaneers for the fourth time this season. The Herd hold a 2-0-1 record against the Bucs this season, including a 3-2 shootout loss in their last meeting on December 31st in Sioux Falls. The Bucs are led by Locke Jillson who has 18 points (5g, 13a) in 30 games. The Buccaneers are in sixth place in the West Division with a 7-25-4 record.
On Saturday, the Stampede will face I-29 rival Sioux City for the fifth time this year. Sioux Falls is 1-2-1 against the Muskies this season, including a 3-2 loss on January 9th in Sioux Falls. The Muskies are 23-10-1 on the season and are coming off a 5-2 win over Tri-City on Saturday in Sioux City. Spencer Heichman leads the Musketeers in scoring with 31 points (17g, 14a) in 34 games.
The Stampede are coming off a rough weekend in which they gained one point in the West Division standings. On Friday, the Stampede rallied from a 2-0 deficit, but fell 3-2 in overtime to the Tri-City Storm in Kearney, NE. On Saturday, the Herd fell 3-1 to the Omaha Lancers at the Mid America Center.
FOUR STAMPEDE PLAYERS TO PARTICIPATE IN USHL ALL-STAR/PROSPECTS GAME-
Stampede forwards Jack Connolly, Nick Dineen, Jake Hansen and defenseman Eric Springer will represent the Stampede at the 2008 USHL All-Star/Prospects Game tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI.
The Stampede have won the MVP Award at the All-Star/Prospects Game two years in a row and five of the last eight seasons.

GOLIGOSKI READY FOR AHL ALL-STAR GAME TONIGHT-
Former Stampede defenseman Alex Goligoski will participate in the American Hockey League (AHL) All-Star Game tonight (Monday) in Binghamton, NY.
Goligoski has 16 points (6g, 10a) in 41 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the top affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 2nd round draft pick of the Penguins in 2004 will play for the PlanetUSA All-Stars.
The game can be seen "live" locally on Fox Sports North (Midcontinent Cable Channel 50) at 6 PM.
