Stampede add Vrachnas to roster

Sioux Falls, SD- The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today that have added forward Angelo Vrachnas (Vrack-ness) to their roster. He is expected to play tonight when the Stampede host the Omaha Lancers at 7:05 PM at the Sioux Falls Arena.

The 6'2, 213-pound winger most recently played for the Waterloo Black Hawks, posting a goal and two assists in three games. He was an 11th round draft pick of the Indiana Ice in 2007.

The St. James, NY native spent last year in the Eastern Junior Hockey League where he played for the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs. In 29 games with the Monarchs, Vrachnas posted 10 points (3g, 7a) and 52 penalty minutes.

Prior to playing with the Monarchs, Vrachnas played in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League with the New York Bobcats where he recorded 22 points (13g, 9a) in 24 games.

To make room for Vrachnas, the Stampede placed forward Marc Rodriguez on Injured Reserve who is out with a lower body injury.
