Saugerties, NY- The Adirondack Trail Blazer snapped the Saugerties Stallions five game winning streak Monday in Saugerties with a 5-2 win.
The Stallions struck first in their first plate appearance of the night. Tyler Kelder (St. Bonaventure) had an RBI-single, scoring Jordan Kozicky (Minnesota) who singled earlier in the inning.
The Trail Blazers tied the game in the third after Anthony Boselli (Fairfield) hit an RBI-single, scoring David Mercano (NJIT).
Danny Glendon (Sacred Heart) reached on a fielder's choice, in the fourth, which scored Josh DelSignore (Siena). Bradley Roberto (Franklin Pierce) added another fielder's choice, scoring Glendon, giving Adirondack a 3-1 lead.
The Stallions came back to score one in the fourth after Cam Coakley (Stetson) hit an RBI-single, scoring Easton Bertrand (Minnesota).
The Trail Blazers would later go on to score two more runs in the seventh after Tripp McCaffery (UMass Lowell) hit a two-run double, scoring Boselli and Isiah Daubon (Sacred Heart) to give Adirondack a 5-2 lead, which they would hold onto.
Adirondack plays again tomorrow, July 10 at the Utica Blue Sox and Saugerties plays tomorrow in a double-header at the Amsterdam Mohawks.
