San Antonio Stallions News Release
San Antonio, TX. The ABA San Antonio Stallions professional basketball team scheduled to begin play in November named LaShun McDaniel as General Manager/Head Coach. A native of Gary and graduate of Saint Augustine College in Raleigh, NC, McDaniel had a distinguished career being named All American Division II and Conference Player of the Year. He also played for the NBA Washington Bullets and the Portland Trailblazers and has made the All Star Teams in the WBA, CBA and USBL and played professionally in Europe, South America and Asia. According to Reggie Sanderson, Stallions owner, LaShun has been around. He knows talent and he knows how to win. We will be competitive with him at the helm."
McDaniel added, "First of all, I want to say thank you to the Stallions organization for this wonderful opportunithy. I feel good about working with a classy group of individuals whom I have seen professionalism and integrity about bringing to life the San Antonio Stallions Basketball Organization. With their drive and efforts, anyone who is a part of this organization can feel a sense of family and want to work extremely hard in achieving the goal of winning the ABA Championship. As for the ABA, I am personally happy and honored to be a part of a league that is growing at a rapid pace. The ABA is a league that showcases great basketball with hardworking individuals on and off court in producing a product that is wonderful for any community in America. With its history, the ABA is a league that either a General Manager, Coach or Player should feel honored to be associated with."
