Hamilton, Ontario - Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Dave Stala has been named the CFL Canadian Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in the Ticats 34-26 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last Friday.
Stala caught five passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's win, with his most important grab coming in the fourth quarter when he took a Kevin Glenn pass 58 yards for a major.
Through five weeks, the nine-year CFL veteran has caught 19 passes for 260 yards and is tied for the league-lead with five touchdowns.
