
St. Louis Edges Jr. Blues Again; Round Two Tonight At Nelson Center

The St. Louis Bandits beat the Springfield Jr. Blues 3-2. This was the fourth time that St. Louis has beat the Blues by a goal and a score of 3-2.
Derek Kimbro, who re-joined the team after being traded to Alaska before the start of the season, scored the Blues 1st goal. He was assisted by Mike Shaber. Nick Curry scored the Blues only other goal from Zach Kamrass to tie the game at two in the second period. With Springfield on a power play, the Bandit's Brendan Sheehan scored a short-handed goal for the lead and the eventual game winning goal. The two teams battle again tonight at the Springfield Nelson Center. Game time is 7:30. Game Notes....
While the Blues have been competitive in almost every game during this losing streak, they continue! to tweak the lineup and roster looking for that magic combo which might give them the winning edge. Along with the return of Kimbro, the Blues have added North Dakota natives Alex Rasmusson and Jarret Galbreath along with Chicago's Scott Barrera. Edvin Berg, Jeremiah Dargis, Greg Selner and Zeth Zielinski were traded or released to make room for the new comers...Coach Chris Wyler and his wife Cassie are expecting the birth of thier first child anytime now. Don't be surprised to see him run off the bench during the game tonight!!
