St. Louis Ambush News Release

St. Charles, MO - The St. Louis Ambush (5-6) journey to Florida for back to back games this weekend. On Friday, January 24, the Ambush tangle with the Orlando SeaWolves (1-8) at 6:35 p.m. CST at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. The next day, the Ambush head to Lakeland to duel the Florida Tropics (9-1) at the RP Funding Center at 4:05 p.m. CST.

The Ambush are coming off a weekend split with Utica City FC last weekend that saw St. Louis win on Friday and lose on Sunday. Orlando and Florida played each other in their most recent outing on Sunday, with Florida winning 16-3. While the Ambush face the challenge of back-to-back games on the road this weekend, each of their opponents have only the one game against the Ambush.

The Ambush will see some familiar faces when they visit Florida this weekend. Orlando players Luiz Mota, Odaine Sinclair and Raphael Nascimento have all played for the Ambush while Florida players Zach Reget, Gordy Gurson, Antonio Manfut, Anthony Arico and Robert Acosta also had stints wearing St. Louis teal. On the Ambush side, forward Andre Braithwaite enjoyed time with Florida last season.

The two teams the Ambush will face this weekend are at different ends of the standings. Florida sits atop the MASL Eastern Conference with a 9-1 record, while Orlando is in eighth place at 1-8. The Ambush presently reside in sixth place.

Following this weekend's trip to Florida, the Ambush will visit Utica City FC Friday, January 31 at 6:00 p.m. CST. Single game tickets for the rest of the 2019-20 season are on sale and can be purchased at the Family Arena box office or at ticketmaster.com. Groups of 10 or more can purchase their discounted tickets by calling the Ambush office at 636-477-6363.
