Brandon, MB - The Canadian Hockey League in association with broadcast partner Rogers Sportsnet today announced that all games from the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup from Brandon, Manitoba, will be available online via live streaming at www.sportsnet.ca. This coverage is provided in addition to the live broadcasts on all Rogers Sportsnet channels.
Coverage begins Friday night at 7:00 pm central when the host Brandon Wheat Kings take on the OHL Champion Windsor Spitfires. The tournament also includes the QMJHL Champions the Moncton Wildcats, and the Western Hockey League Champions the Calgary Hitmen.
Tune in from May 14-23 and join the broadcast team with Peter Loubardias providing the play-by-play while Sam Cosentino handles the analysis. Rob Faulds is the host.
The Memorial Cup was donated in 1919 by the Ontario Hockey Association as a memorial to those young men and women who had been given their lives in the defence of Canada during World War I. The 2010 edition of the tournament in Brandon will mark the 92nd time this prestigious trophy will be presented.
The Windsor Spitfires captured the MasterCard Memorial Cup title last season in Rimouski, Quebec.
