
Sports Snap Funk with Extra Inning Victory

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
It took ten innings, but the Shreveport Sports snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating El Paso 5-4 Tuesday at Fair Grounds Field.
J.P. Schmidt had a one-out double in the tenth and then Jack Joffrion singled to center field to score Schmidt with the winning run. The Sports had tied the game in the ninth on a bunt single by Wade Robinson that scored Juan Ventura to tie the game at 4-4.
Grant Wilson pitched the final three innings for the Sports, striking out five to record the win. Shreveport and El Paso will close out the three-game series Wednesday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time will be 7:05 with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH.
