Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The Shreveport Sports announced today the signing of righthanded pitcher Pat Frost. Frost, played college baseball the past two years at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri.
Frost replaces Thad Markray on the Shreveport roster. Markray had his contract purchased by the Kansas City Royals last Friday and has been assigned to AA Wichita of the Texas League.
The 22-year old Frost will be making his professional debut Wednesday as the Sports host Edinburg at Fair Grounds Field.
This past season at Missouri Valley, Frost had a record of 3-1 with a 1.37 ERA. He appeared in 24 games, pitching 46 innings, gave up 27 hits, 15 runs (7 earned), walked 14 and had 52 strikeouts.
A native of Mountain View, California, Frost played two years at West Valley Community College in Saratoga, California before going to Missouri Valley where he played for Coach Dan Bowers. Frost was selected as Second Team All Heart of America Athletic Conference team in 2003.
