
Edinburg defeats Shreveport, 7-4

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The Shreveport Sports dropped their sixth straight game Wednesday as Edinburg handed the Sports a 7-4 loss.
Edinburg scored three runs in the first inning off starter Pat Frost, who was making his professional debut for the Sports. After the first inning, Frost settled down and didn't allowed another run through the next five innings.
Middle relief was a problem for the Sports as Edinburg scored two runs in the eighth and ninth innings.
Catcher Kevin Webster had a solo home run for Shreveport, his second of the season which came in the fifth inning. The Sports added two more runs in the ninth, but for the second straight night came up short against Edinburg.
Shreveport and Edinburg will close out the three game series Thursday night at Fair Grounds Field. Game time will be 7:05 pm.
