SPORTING KANSAS CITY WILL BATTLE THE NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION SATURDAY
Following a 4-2 win against Toronto FC last Saturday night, Sporting KC -- ranked sixth in the ESPN Power Rankings -- will continue their nine-game homestretch against the New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. Saturday's match is presented by Providence Medical Center and will be broadcast live on KSMO, with coverage beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT. For more ticket information click here.
The Revolution (4-9-8) sits in seventh place in the MLS Eastern Conference, most recently drawing 2-2 with the Colorado Rapids last Saturday.

KEY PLAYERS FOR NEW ENGLAND:
Shalrie Joseph, the leading goal scorer for the Revs with six goals this season, is an MLS veteran with an eighth consecutive All-Star Game nod.
Benny Feilhaber, leading the Revs with three assists this season, has made 38 appearances for the United States Men's National Team.
SPORTING KANSAS CITY DEFEATS TORONTO FC 4-2 AT LIVESTRONG SPORTING PARK
Three goals in a nine-minute span lifted Sporting Kansas City to a 4-2 win over Toronto FC Saturday in front of 16,382 fans at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. Through Thursday, fans can vote for Kei Kamara's scissor kick to be the AT&T Goal of the Week. Jimmy Nielsen's save to deny Toronto forward Danny Koevermans in the third minute of play was also nominated for MLS Save of the Week.
TONIGHT: MLS ALL-STAR GAME WITH BRAVO AND BESLER
The MLS All-Stars will clash with European giants Manchester United FC tonight at 7:30 CT on ESPN2 and Galavision. MLS Commissioner Don Garber selected Sporting Kansas City forward Omar Bravo to join the All-Star roster alongside fellow Sporting KC teammate Matt Besler, who was selected by fans via text voting. Besler received nearly three times as many votes than any other MLS player. Besler (@mbesler) tweeted after the announcement: "@sportingkc fans are powerful."
SPORTING KANSAS CITY DEFENDER SCOTT LORENZ LOANED TO NSC MINNESOTA STARS
Sporting Kansas City announced today that defender Scott Lorenz has been loaned to the NSC Minnesota Stars of the North American Soccer League. Lorenz began his professional soccer career with the Minnesota Stars in 2010 and was named the team's Rookie of the Year before signing with Sporting KC in February. The University of Wisconsin Alum started each of Sporting KC's five MLS Reserve League games to date, and was in the starting lineup for both of the club's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches
Lorenz will join the NSC Minnesota Stars for the remainder of their 2011 season, with the club currently tied for third place with 11 games remaining. The NASL regular season is scheduled to end on September 24th, with playoffs continuing through October 29th.
RADIO SHOWS CONTINUE WITH JOSH WHISENHUNT AND CALLUM WILLIAMS
Charles Gooch, The Kansas City Star's soccer blogger, will join Josh Whisenhunt and Jake Gutierrez on The Kansas City Soccer Show from 8:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday on Sports Radio 810. They will recap Sporting KC's win over Toronto, preview Saturday's match against New England, and will discuss the MLS All-Star Game.

SPORTING KC AND 94.9 KCMO TEAM UP WITH CITY UNION MISSION TO DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO CHILDREN
Sporting KC will be collecting school supplies, clothing and monetary donations at Saturday's game against New England to support City Union Mission's "Stuff the Bus" campaign. "Stuff the Bus" benefits less fortunate children of the Greater Kansas City area. Bins will be set up at each entrance to LIVESTRONG Sporting Park for fans to drop off donations.
Sporting KC has supported the school supply drive for four years and will handle the distribution of school supplies with City Union Mission in the upcoming weeks. KCMO will be broadcasting live from LIVESTRONG Sporting Park before Saturday's match against the New England Revolution.
HEAVY SOUL TRIO THE PAPERCLIPS TO PERFORM PRIOR TO SATURDAY'S MATCH
The blues-influenced band The Paperclips will be performing their self-proclaimed "muddy-Mississippi" style music on Saturday in the Sprint Plaza before Saturday's match against New England. Preview their Midwest-inspired tunes on their Facebook page.
Sporting KC DJ Mike Scott, who spins tracks at Power and Light's Mosaic nightclub, will bring his energy and music to the Member's Club after the game on Saturday.
KEMPIN REPRESENTS UNITED STATES IN NORTHERN IRELAND MILK CUP
Sporting KC goalkeeper Jon Kempin is in Northern Ireland with the United States Under-18 Men's National Team, which is competing this week in the Northern Ireland Milk Cup.
The Milk Cup, one of the world's most prestigious youth tournaments, is held annually in Northern Ireland and has seen the likes of Wayne Rooney, David Beckham and Paul Scholes participate. The United States won the tournament in 2010.
The United States defeated Israel 2-0 on Monday in their opening match of the tournament. Kempin and his United States teammates will face Mexico on July 27.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Sporting Kansas City is one victory into an enviable nine-game homestretch. Sporting will face some of the league's toughest teams in the upcoming weeks, but they will have a huge home field advantage and the energetic atmosphere of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on their side. Sporting Kansas City looks to keep its six-game home unbeaten streak alive against 2010 MLS Cup runners-up FC Dallas on Aug. 27 and the West division-leading Los Angeles Galaxy on Sept. 5.
SOONY SAAD TO HELP WITH SPORTING 22 PROGRAM
Sporting KC's new signing, forward Soony Saad, will be at Lone Elm Soccer Park from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday to teach the proper techniques of warming up and stretching before summer camp at the Fitness and Injury Prevention clinic, a Sporting 22 program. This program will continue through August and focuses on the importance of proper warm-up technique before exercise.
LOS ANGELES GALAXY GAME RESCHEDULED FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Sporting Kansas City's home match with the LA Galaxy, previously scheduled for August 13, has been moved to Monday, September 5. Kickoff for the re-scheduled match at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park is set for 5 p.m. CT.
The match against the Galaxy, featuring Landon Donovan, David Beckham and Juan Pablo Angel, will still be broadcast nationally on FOX Soccer, one of eight MLS matches at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park to be nationally broadcast in 2011. All tickets previously issued for the Sporting Kansas City - LA Galaxy match will be honored on September 5. Tickets are still available for purchase at the stadium box office or online.

SPORTING KC GOLF LEAGUE SET TO BEGIN AUGUST 2 AT PAINTED HILLS
A Sporting Kansas City golf league will kick off the first Tuesday of August at Painted Hills Golf Course. Open to all interested golfers, the two-person nine-hole league will be held at 6 p.m. each Tuesday, beginning Aug. 2 and running for eight weeks.
The league will be limited to the first 36 teams. SPORTING KANSAS CITY TO HOLD FANTASY CAMP
Sporting Kansas City and the Sporting Kansas City Juniors will hold the 2011 Fantasy Camp for boys and girls ages 8-14 from August 1-4. Campers will get access to watching the senior team train, have a tour of the training facility, be addressed by the Senior team coaching staff and will receive a personalized replica kit with the player's name and number on the back, as well as a ticket to an upcoming home match at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Camp will begin with a technical warm-up, then move into the "topic of the day" and finally conclude with small-sided games. Interested players and parents are encouraged to visit SportingKC.com/camps for additional information and to sign-up using the online registration form.
