Sporting Kansas City Begins Second Phase of Preseason Training

Sporting Kansas City is set to begin the second phase of their preseason this week in Orlando, where the team is training at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports in preparation for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic along with five other MLS teams.
"This is another phase in our preparation for the start of the season, and we feel that coming here to Orlando to play in this tournament is a good chance to give our team some games," Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes said. "We know the standard will be high, and we are ready to get started."
Sporting Kansas City will open the tournament on Friday, Feb. 24 at 6:00 p.m. ET against the Houston Dynamo in a rematch of the 2011 Eastern Conference Championship. Sporting Kansas City will then take on expansion MLS side Montreal Impact on Sunday,Feb. 26 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The final match of Pool One play for Sporting Kansas City will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 6:00 p.m. ET against VancouverWhitecaps FC.
Should Sporting Kansas City top their group, they will advance to the tournament championship match, set for March 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET. A consolation match will be played at 6:00p.m. ET. Sporting Kansas City training and match schedule, Feb. 20 - March 3 (All times ET)

Single session tickets for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic, which include entry into two games, are currently on sale through Ticketmaster (800/745-3000 and ticketmaster.com ) and at the complex box office. All-tournament passes are $69.
Each of Sporting Kansas City's matches will be streamed live for fans to watch on MLSSoccer.com . The final of the eight-team tournament will be available on ESPN3.com .
