Kootenay Ice News Release
Cranbrook... It's not only the mascot at an Ice game that makes one shiver, it's the feelings that the volunteers and sponsors of the Champions of the Ice are sharing these days.
With a deadline of 28 September 2004 just days away to find sponsors for 500 season tickets for groups or individuals, the REACH OUT program is turning out to be a great show of community spirit.
"The Champions of the Ice are overjoyed with the outpouring of response to the "Reach Out " program. We have thrilled to say we have exceeded 225 in sponsorship sales and the momentum is continuing to build," says Mike Kozinuk.
To thank the community at large, the Champions of the Ice invite you to attend a tailgate party on opening game weekend. From 4:00 â 6:30 pm this Saturday, (September 25) join the Champions for a food and refreshment garden, music and the opportunity to "Reach Out" and celebrate our community spirit. There is no charge for attending the tailgate party.
If you wish to âReach Out" and make a difference in somebody's life, consider becoming a member of the Champions of the Ice or simply attend one of our open volunteer meetings every morning at 7:30 am at the Town & Country Motor Inn, 600 Cranbrook St, Cranbrook.
