SPOKANE, Washington (November 16, 2015) - The Spokane IFL franchise has signed a pair of experienced defensive players in linebacker Pasquale Vacchio and defensive back Tyree Robinson to the 2016 roster.

During his rookie campaign, Vacchio played in 13 games and led the Titans defense with 107 total tackles while adding 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass break-up, one fumble recovery, and three forced fumbles.

During his 2011 and 2012 collegiate seasons at Buffalo State, Vacchio saw action in 19 games and recorded 142 total tackles (91 solo), 23 tackles for loss, six sacks, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles. As a senior, he received D3Football.com All-East Region First Team, All-Empire 8 First Team, and ECAC North All-Star honors. He was also named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week twice. Vacchio played his prep career at North Shore High School in Glen Head, New York.

"In 2014 Pasquel was one of the top defensive players in the IFL with over 100 tackles and that performance earned him other football opportunities," said Spokane Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "He is back in the IFL this year and we are excited that such a versatile player is coming to Spokane."

Robinson (DB, 5-11, 200, Western Kentucky) joins Spokane for his second IFL season after playing his rookie year in Cedar Rapids in 2015. Last season with the Titans, Robinson saw action in 13 games and recorded 59 total tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, five pass break-ups, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble.

During his collegiate career, Robinson was a fixture in the Hilltopper's defensive secondary where he earned starting roles in all four seasons. He saw action in 48 total contests (started in 44) while recording 170 total tackles. He played his prep career at Haines City High School in Dundee, Florida.

"Tyree quickly earned a reputation last year of being one of the most aggressive players in the league," said Spokane Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "He is an athletic ball-hawk with power and ability that fits Coach Ismail's defensive scheme."

The Spokane IFL franchise will look to kick off their 2016 training camp in early February in preparation for their home opener on Saturday, February 27 against their in-state rival in the Tri-Cities Fever with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at Spokane Arena.
