
Spitfires blast Otters

WINDSOR, Ont. - The Windsor Spitfires scored five unanswered goals to erase an early deficit on their way to a 5-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in from of 2,862 at the Windsor Arena.
Bradley Snetsinger, Patrick Davis, Brian Soso, Ryan Garlock and Paul McFarland scored for the Spitfires. Mitch Maunu and Mike Weber both had two assists.
Sean O'Connor scored the lone Otters goal only 25 seconds into the game. The Otters sunk to 14-17-3-1 with the loss. Windsor improved to 13-20-2-2. Windsor led 2-1 after one and 4-1 heading into the third.
The Spitfires out shot the Otters 43-30 in the game as Josh Disher took the loss.
The three stars of the game were all from the Spitfires. Maunu was the first, Garlock the second and Soso the third.
The Otters wrap up the first half a six-game road trip tomorrow (Friday) night in Plymouth against the Whalers. The game can be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company). Hamot Hockey Night begins with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m.
The next Otters home game takes place January 11th when the Mississauga IceDogs visit the Tullio Arena. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
