
Spirit Travel to London in First of Two Meetings this Week with Knights

London, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (18-34-1-0) travel to Budweiser Gardens for the first time this season to face the London Knights (33-17-2-0) Monday night. Puck drop of the second of five meetings this season is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Head-to-Head
The last time these two teams met on Feb. 9 in Saginaw, the Spirit held a 3-1 lead going into the third period, but surrendered four goals in the final frame to fall 5-3. Nashville Predators prospect Luke Evangelista and Dallas Stars prospect Antonio Stranges factored in on all four third-period goals for the Knights. Evangelista led the way for the Knights with two goals and two assists. Mitchell Smith scored twice for the Spirit in the losing effort.
Last Time Out
Saginaw: The Saginaw Spirit had a nine-game, home winning streak against the Owen Sound Attack snapped on Saturday night in a 5-1 loss at The Dow Event Center. Ethan Burroughs scored two goals for the Attack, while leading scorer Deni Goure added two assists. Overage forward Dalton Duhart provided the only offense for the Spirit.
London: Led by two goals from former Spirit captain Camaryn Baber, the Knights knocked off Sarnia, 4-2 Sunday afternoon to halt a five-game skid in head-to-head play against the Sting. Rookie goaltender Owen Willmore picked up his first OHL victory in goal for the Knights, while Sting goaltender Ben Gaudreau earned first star honors with 31 saves in the loss. Gerard Keane and Liam Gilmartin also produced multi-point efforts for the Knights, Sunday.
