Spirit to celebrate Lynn on opening night

LYNN, MA.—The North Shore Spirit’s home opener vs. the Worcester Tornadoes on June 2 is dedicated to the Lynn community. All Lynn residents are welcome to attend the ceremony and game. Gates at the New Fraser Field will open at 6 p.m. and first pitch is set for 7:05.

Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Dan Clarke will be on hand to sing the National Anthem and other patriotic selections. The Lynn English High School ROTC unit will present the colors.

The first 1,000 fans to enter the park will receive a complimentary T-shirt and magnetic schedule, compliments of the Daily Item of Lynn. Perfect Parties will be in attendance and will have a new kidsÂ’ participation area set up with fun activities and games for kids and parents. There will also be the customary between-innings games and contests for fans.

Spirit mascot Slugger will be on hand. The Spirit will also welcome players from Peabody Babe Ruth as the dream team for the night.
