Spirit, Joe-FM Team Up To Fight Holiday Hunger

For the fourth year in a row, the Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club will join with broadcast partner Joe-FM for a canned and non-perishable food item collection to help fight hunger at the holidays. Food collected will benefit the East Side Soup Kitchen of Saginaw.

Beginning November 21st, the Spirit will collect food at their team offices, 6200 State Street, Saginaw and at Spirit home games at the Dow Event Center, 303 Johnson St., Saginaw. During Spirit games, fans can register to win great prizes courtesy the Spirit and The New 97.3, Joe-FM.

Additionally, from November 21st through December 4th, fans can drop their donations at five Express Stop Food Stores in Saginaw and Pinconning. Complete details will be posted at www.saginawspirit.com

The Saginaw Spirit, Mid-Michigan's Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Franchise plays 34 home games from September to March. The OHL is part of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), which also includes the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
