
Spirit Continue Road Trip Saturday in Erie

Erie, PA - The Saginaw Spirit (2-1-0-0) continue their three-game road swing on Saturday evening, taking on the Erie Otters (1-2-0-0) at 7:00 p.m. from the Erie Insurance Arena in Erie, Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday evening, the Spirit continued their road dominance over their in-state rival Flint Firebirds with a 5-3 victory. Saginaw won their eighth straight contest at the Dort Financial Center and have now earned at least one point in 14 consecutive games in Flint dating back to the 2015-16 season.
Grand Blanc, Michigan native Dalton Duhart led Saginaw with three assists and Buffalo Sabres prospect Josh Bloom provided two points, including the game-winning goal. New York Islanders prospect Tristan Lennox recorded a season-high, 33 saves in the Spirit victory.
The Otters last skated on Oct. 17, falling to the Spirit, 2-1 at The Dow Event Center. Brett Bressette opened the scoring for the Otters in the second period, but that was all they could muster against New York Islanders prospect Tristan Lennox, who made 21 stops and earned first star honors.
Tonight, marks the third of 12 meetings this season between the Spirit and the Otters, with the teams splitting the first two games at The Dow Event Center. This is the 75th all-time regular season meeting tonight between Saginaw and Erie, with the Spirit posting a 45-26-1-1 (one tie) all-time record and a 22-14-0-1 mark on the road.

This and every game this season will also be broadcast live on the home for Spirit Hockey on the radio, 100.5 WSGW-FM and wsgw.com with the voices of Spirit Hockey, Joey Battaino and Dennis Desrosiers.
The Spirit will again faceoff against the Otters this Sunday afternoon, Oct. 24 at 2:00 p.m. before returning to The Dow Event Center to host the Flint Firebirds on Wednesday, Oct. 27. Student & Military rush tickets are only $7 with proof of identification.
