
SPHL Announces Suspensions

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced the following suspensions:
Bloomington's Kory Helowka
Bloomington's Kory Helowka has been suspended for five games for his actions in Game 65, Peoria at Bloomington, played on Saturday, November 30. At 19:25 of the third period, Helowka was assessed a match penalty for shooting the puck into the Peoria bench.
Helowka will miss Bloomington's games against the Mississippi Surge on December 6, 13 and 14 and the Mississippi RiverKings on December 7 and 8.
Huntsville's Brandon Perry
Huntsville's Brandon Perry has been suspended for one game for his actions in Game 69, Huntsville at Pensacola, placed on Saturday, November 30. At the 15:36 mark of the third period, Mr. Perry was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and game misconduct under Rule 46.2 for being the aggressor of the altercation.
Perry will miss Huntsville's game against Peoria on Friday, December 6.
