Mississippi Surge News Release
Biloxi, MS - November 18, 2013 will be a day that many people in Peoria, Illinois, will never forget. A rapidly moving weather system ripped through 12 different states, leaving behind a path of destruction. Over 2,400 homes were damaged leaving many inhabitants suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The Mississippi Surge is calling out to fans and members of the community, asking for donations to support the families affected by this grave disaster. The team will be traveling to Peoria and delivering the donations on December 12, and all donations must be delivered by December 11. The folks in Peoria are looking for paper products, blankets, new clothes, cleaning products, water, as well as cash donations (no checks). Please bring donations to the Surge games this weekend or the Hockey Operations Office at the Coliseum.
Join the Mississippi Surge as we reach out to do whatever we can for another SPHL community.
