MOVIN' UP: The Astros on Tuesday assigned outfielder Justin Dirden from Double A Corpus Christi to the Space Cowboys. He hit .324 (113x349) with 20 home runs, 73 RBI and a 1.027 OPS in 92 games with Corpus Christi. He currently leads the Texas League with a .324 average, 32 doubles and 73 RBI, is second with a .616 slugging percentage, fifth with 20 home runs and seventh with a .411 on-base percentage. Dirden was named the Texas League July Player of the Month.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Space Cowboys RHP Brett Conine was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week on Monday. Conine made two piggyback relief appearances, allowing just two hits through 6 2/3 scoreless innings, also picking up the winning decision in Sunday's victory vs. Round Rock. Conine is the third Space Cowboys player this year to receive PCL Pitcher of the Week honors, joining Hunter Brown (May 29) and JP France (July 17). It's the second league honor at the Triple A level for Conine. He was named the Triple A West May Pitcher of the Month last season.
