Great Falls, MT - Tonight the Great Falls White Sox defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars 13-10 at Centene Stadium. Travis Doyle (1-0) picked up the win in relief for the Sox as he worked one inning allowing one run on five hits. Boone Logan picked up the save (1) as he worked the final four outs of the game, allowing one run. The loss went to David Henninger (2-1) as he worked one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits.

Idaho Falls scored first in the game when they were able to get a Felix Peguero infield hit for an RBI in the top of the first inning. The Sox tied up the game in the bottom of the inning when Matt Tribble doubled home Brandon Johnson.

Idaho Falls would then take the lead in the third on a three-run homerun by Blake Adkison. In the fourth, Andrew Larsen added a three-run shot of his own to put the Chukars up 7-1.

Great Falls then responded in the fifth inning. Johnson had a two RBI double before coming home on an error. Later in the inning Brandon Allen added a two-run homerun before Javier Castillo's RBI single. Another run scored on another defensive blunder by the Chukars and the Sox lead 8-7 after five.

Idaho Falls would then tie up the game in the sixth when a pair of two out hits produced a run off Doyle. However, Great Falls answered back in a big way again in the sixth. This time they scored four runs. Once on a wild pitch, a Manny Rodriguez RBI hit, another Castillo RBI and an Eric Hollis run scoring hit. Great Falls lead 12-8.

Each team then exchanged runs in the eighth inning, before the Chukars tried to rally in the ninth. A pair of one out hits scored one runner, but Logan settled down to get the next two batters to ground out to end the game. The Sox would win 13-10.

In the game Brandon Johnson was 3 for 5 with three runs and two RBI. Manny Rodriguez also chipped in with a 2 for 5 night with one run and three RBI.

Tomorrow night the Sox will open up a three game weekend series with the Idaho Falls Chukars. The starters for the game are: Noe Rodriguez (LHP) for Great Falls and Ryan DiPietro (LHP) for Idaho Falls. Game time is at 7:00pm and can be heard on 560AM-KMON starting at 6:45.
