Sox hold on, defeat Ogden 2-1

Great Falls, MT Tonight the Great Falls White Sox defeated the Ogden Raptors2-1 at Centene Stadium. Carlos Perez (3-5) picked up the win for the Sox as he worked six shutout innings, allowing only four hits. The save went to Nick Lemon (3) as he held on in the end, allowing the lone Raptors run on three hits. The loss went to Mario Alvarez (3-3) as he worked six innings, allowing one run on six hits.

Great Falls scored first in the second inning as Javier Castillo singled home Manny Rodriguez. Perez would take over and work the first six scattering only four hits in the game.

Great Falls added to the lead in the seventh on another Castillo single to make it 2-0 Sox. Jay Marshall would then pitch the next two keeping the shutout going.

However, Ogden would attempt a late inning comeback in the ninth. Nick Lemon allowed a two out hit to BJ Richmond to make it a 2-1 game. He would then get Drew Locke to strike out to end the game. The Sox would win 2-1.

Tomorrow night the Sox will play the middle game of a three game series with the Ogden Raptors. The starters for the game are: Paul Moviel (RHP) for Great Falls and Bret Leach (LHP) for Ogden. Game time is at 7:00pm and can be heard on 560AM-KMON starting at 6:45.
