Both Sides In: While the Oilers have been in the thick of the Northern Conference playoff race, this weekend they will host two teams battling for playoff position in the Southern conference, leading to two intense showdowns. The Oilers host the Austin Ice Bats Friday night, and the Amarillo Gorillas Saturday night. Both games start at 7:35 p.m.
One Of Each: The Oilers put a notch in each standing column last week. They won in Memphis, 7-4, lost to Oklahoma City, 7-1 and had an overtime loss to Wichita 3-2.
Birthday Gift: Mike Lukajic sure knows how to celebrate his birthday. He turned 25 on Tuesday as the Oilers played in Memphis. He also turned a hat trick scoring three goals in the game. Lukajic also had one of the Oiler two goals against Wichita. In 10 games with the Oilers, he has nine goals and has 19 goals overall on the season.
Two For One: Cox Communications is offering two for one tickets ($10, $12, $14 tickets) for Friday's game against Austin. Fans can stop by Cox Communications to get their 2-for-1 coupons.
Loud & Proud:U.S. Cellular will be helping fans show their support for the Oilers on Saturday against Amarillo. U.S. Cellular will be distributing cheer sticks and fan spirit placards to the first 2,000 fans.
