Southern League 2019 Regular Season Schedule Set

MARIETTA, GA - The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs have announced their composite 2019 regular season schedule. All 10 Southern League clubs will be scheduled to play 140 total games, split evenly between 70 home and road contests.
The Biloxi Shuckers, Chattanooga Lookouts, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Mobile BayBears, and Tennessee Smokies will begin their 2019 campaigns at home on Thursday, April 4. Following a five game series and a scheduled off day, the Birmingham Barons, Jackson Generals, Mississippi Braves, Montgomery Biscuits, and Pensacola Blue Wahoos will play their home openers on Wednesday, April 10.
As announced earlier this week, the Biloxi Shuckers will be hosting the 2019 Southern League All-Star Game at MGM Park on Tuesday, June 18. This marks the first time Biloxi will host the Southern League's Midsummer Classic. The league's three-day All-Star break is scheduled for June 17-19, with the first half of play ending on Sunday, June 16.
Biloxi, Chattanooga, Jacksonville, Pensacola, and Tennessee will complete their home schedules on Tuesday, August 27 while Birmingham, Jackson, Mississippi, Mobile, and Montgomery host their 2019 season finales on Labor Day Monday, September 2. This will mark the Mobile BayBears final game at Hank Aaron Stadium before relocating to Madison, Alabama ahead of the 2020 Southern League season.
Specific details such as game times and ticketing information will be announced by clubs beginning in February 2019.
