South Bend Cubs News Release
SOUTH BEND, IN - With just six days until Opening Night, the South Bend Cubs are continuing to prepare Four Winds Field for the All-Star summer. The organization is putting the time and effort into preparing for the Midwest League All-Star game, while also producing a top-quality entertainment value for each and every home game.
Hours on end go into making sure each guest at Four Winds Field is more than satisfied with their ballpark experience. Each South Bend Cubs employee goes through a customer service training session to ensure that the entertainment value is top notch for each fan that comes through the gates.
To start, South Bend's great ticket prices allow families with children to come to the ballpark and enjoy the ambiance at a reasonable rate. On average, the cost of a family of four to go to a Major League Baseball is $350. A MiLB game for the same family is just $144.
On top of the everyday ticket prices, the South Bend Cubs are continuing their $2 Tuesday promotion for the 2019 season by adding more $2 games to the schedule. $2 Tuesday tickets must be purchased online and in advance. On game day, tickets will go back to their normal prices. The deal excludes games on June 11, July 2, and July 30.
Along with your ticket comes all the amenities of Four Winds Field. Here at the ballpark, there is something to meet every fan's expectations. From post-game fireworks, flat screen TV giveaways, theme nights such as Marvel Super HeroTM Day, and Thirsty Thursdays with $2 beers and sodas, the South Bend Cubs have something to please every fan's experience.
For the kids, it all starts with the corner outfield areas. The Toyota Fun Zone in the left field corner is a popular attraction for kids to enjoy two, 3-story tall slides, bounce houses, and an obstacle course. Tickets to the fun zone can be purchased at each South Bend Cubs home game.
The right field corner houses the splash pad and playground. On a warm summer day at Four Winds Field, the splash pad is a hot commodity among kids of all ages. Water shoots up at random times to keep the kids entertained and quick on their feet. Added in 2011, the splash pad has been a popular attraction since it was installed. The playground is a free area for kids to enjoy at all times of the game.
Kids are also invited to test their skills inside the 1st Source Bank Performance Center. The facility, which is used every day by South Bend Cubs players, is open to the public during games to use and enjoy. The state- of-the-art performance center is enjoyed by kids, young players, professional players, and adults 365 days a year.
For the adults and parents, Four Winds Field will feature a re-designed concept of "The Landing" in 2019. The space in front of the Ivy at Berlin Place and to the right of the Tiki Hut will feature some new additions. For beautiful summer nights, couches have been added along with a few classic tailgate games for fans to enjoy along with the South Bend Cubs game. Some of the activities added include cornhole, giant Connect Four, giant Jenga, ping pong, and foosball.
Returning to The Landing this year is the Corona Beach House. This walk-in cooler features a variety of popular and craft beers that fans can grab right off the shelf. The Beach House is kept ultra-cold to ensure that the last sip of your beverage is as refreshing as the first.
