March 29, 2019 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
Davenport, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits have postponed the annual Quad Cities River Bandits Race to Home 5K and Fun Run presented by Palmer Chiropractic Clinics until Saturday, September 7. The decision was made to move the race from its originally scheduled date of April 13 due to flooding around Modern Woodmen Park and the race course on both sides of the river.
With the postponement of the race, packets will no longer be available for pick up on April 12 and 13. The new dates for packet pick-up are September 6 from 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and September 7 from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at Modern Woodmen Park.
Runners who wish to participate in the 5K can register by visiting getmeregistered.com/Bandits. Registration will also be available the morning of the race at the ballpark. The schedule of events remains the same with the Race to Home 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the Fun Run starting at 10:00 a.m.
Registrations that have already been turned in will remain valid for the new date. The River Bandits are unable to offer refunds due to the proceeds going to the Bandits Scholars Program. Any questions can be directed to Community Relations and Fan Engagement Manager Kaylee Golden at kaylee@riverbandits.com or (563) 333-2736.
The River Bandits will open their 2019 season on Thursday, April 4 by hosting the Burlington Bees at 6:35 p.m. For more information, call (563) 324-3000 or visit riverbandits.com.
