
South Bay Acquires Two First Round Picks

EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired the eighth overall pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft and a 2020 first round pick from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to Jemerrio Jones, it was announced today.
With the addition of the eighth overall pick, South Bay now has five picks in the 2019 Draft, including the 26th overall pick, a second-round pick (40), a third-round pick (63) and a fourth-round selection (91).
In 47 games (six starts) with South Bay last season, Jones averaged 9.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 block in 24.7 minutes. Jones, who was ineligible to play for South Bay this season, received an NBA Call-Up with the Los Angeles Lakers on March 31, 2019, averaging 4.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in six games.
The 2019 NBA G League Draft will take place this Saturday, October 26 at 10:00 AM PT.
