Sounders FC Hosts First-Place St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday at Lumen Field

SEATTLE, WASH. - Following a 2-1 road victory over the LA Galaxy last weekend, Sounders FC returns home to take on MLS expansion side and Western-Conference leading St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday, April 8 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV - Watch Free, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Saturday's matchup features the top two teams in the Western Conference, with St. Louis sitting atop the conference with 15 points, two points clear of Seattle. The match also includes the league's top two goal scorers, with Jordan Morris currently leading the Golden Boot race with eight goals, three ahead of CITY SC's João Kaluss.
With a start on Saturday, Sounders FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei is set to break Osvaldo Alonso's club record in the MLS era with 323 career starts across all competitions. Frei still trails Alonso's club record for all-competitions appearances (339).
Following the home match this weekend, Seattle travels to face archrival Portland on Saturday, April 15 at Providence Park (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, iHeart Media, El Rey 1360 AM).
