
Soul Waive Six, Trim Roster To 31

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Soul head coach Bret Munsey trimmed his roster to 31 players Thursday, waiving six players.
Munsey waived wide receivers Scottie Vines and J.J. Outlaw; defensive back Reggie Lewis; linebackers Raheem Orr and Larry Kendrick; and defensive lineman Ryan LaCasse.
Outlaw was a local standout at Villanova, while LaCasse received a Super Bowl ring with the Indianapolis Colts and Lewis was on the Florida Gators national championship team two years ago.
The Philadelphia Soul, YOUR Team...YOUnited, kicks off the 2008 season at home against the Orlando Predators (et) on Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m. The first 10,000 fans to the game will receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of Executive Auto Body.
The Soul are celebrating their fifth anniversary this season. The team has drawn an AFL-best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
