Soul to serve as celebrity bartenders Monday night

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Soul players and coaches will serve as celebrity bartenders on Monday, May 9 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m at Sole Food Restaurant at the Loews Hotel (1200 Market Street, Philadelphia). The event will benefit Covenant House, Pennsylvania – a non-profit, multi-service agency whose mission is to serve runaway, homeless and at-risk youth under 21. All proceeds from the event – including tips – will go directly to Covenant House.

Tickets are available to the public for $40 and include two drinks and hors d'oeuvres. In addition, there will be an auction on location for 2005 Eagles season tickets, 2006 Soul season tickets, a Jon Bon Jovi autographed guitar and more. Tickets can be purchased by calling Rosie Sanchez at (215) 923-8350.

Members of the Soul scheduled to participate as celebrity bartenders include: team President Ron Jaworski, head coach James Fuller, Tony Graziani, Chris "Soul Train" Ryan, Sean Scott, Donovan Arp, Dwayne Missouri, Eric Gohlstin, Tyronne Jones, Keita Crespina, Chris Brown, Joe Todd, Charles Stackhouse, Marcus Knight, Mario Branch, and Tim Levcik. The event will help kick off Covenant House's "Capital Campaign," a program that finds apartment housing and employment for young adults.

The Soul host the Columbus Destroyers on Sunday, May 15th at the Wachovia Center in the team's final home game of the 2005 season. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Philadelphia's News Talk 990 AM and via the web at www.philadelphiasoul.com. Tickets for the game are still available.
