
Sockers come from behind to beat Tijuana 6-5 in OT, Chiles golden goal

TIJUANA, MX---Kraig Chiles scored the golden goal less than a minute into sudden death overtime as the San Diego Sockers overcame a three-goal deficit on the road to beat Revolucion Tijuana 6-5. The Sockers (4-0) trailed 5-2 with 2:39 to play in the third quarter but stormed back to score the game's final four goals unanswered, with Chiles scoring twice and adding an assist during the comeback.
Chiles finished the game with his 11th and 12th goals of the year and two assists for a four-point game. Anthony Medina's power play goal with 7:21 to play in the fourth quarter tied the game and Sockers goalkeeper Riley Swift stopped a penalty shootout to help send the game into overtime.
Brian Farber and Dan Antoniuk also scored for the Sockers, while Jose Rodriguez led Tijuana (2-3) with two goals. The Sockers return home to take on the Tacoma Stars on Saturday, December 17th at the Del Mar Arena.
