Hello 09: The Tulsa Oilers ring in the new year with four games this week. They host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. On Wednesday the Oilers will play at Wichita with a special New Year's Eve time of 5:05 p.m. The Oilers will then start the 2009 portion of their schedule facing a new rival to start the new year. They will visit the Rapid City Rush for games Friday and Saturday with both games starting at 8:05. All Oilers games are available at www.tulsaoilers.com.
$2 Tuesday: Tuesday's home game with Bossier-Shreveport is $2 Tuesday with beer and soft drinks available for only $2.
Big Three: Three games and three goals in each for the Oilers last week. The Oilers won their annual Christmas battle with Oklahoma City 3-2 but then dropped a 6-3 decision to Wichita and 5-3 contest to Mississippi.
.700 Club: With the win over Oklahoma City on Christmas Night, the Oilers have earned seven out of a possible 10 points against their turnpike rivals this season, a winning percentage of .700.
Riddle Back: Jake Riddle has returned to the line up and has been a riddle to opposing goaltenders. After missing 11 games, with a knee injury, Riddle scored a goal in all three games last week. He has points in nine of the last 11 games he's played and has nine goals and three assists.
Streak 2: Since having his league high 17 game point streak end, Mike Beausoleil has had points in six straight games, the longest current streak in the CHL. He has four goals and four assists in the last six games.
