Beloit Sky Carp News Release
Snappy came out of his shell a little bit this past Friday, as he participated in Beloit's annual St. Patty's Day Parade. The Beloit Snappers beloved mascot took time away from his season preparations to pass out Snappers pocket schedules to those in attendance.
Snappy and his pals in the front office are busy getting things ready for the 2008 season. With 16 home games in April, the next couple of weeks are key in ensuring that Pohlman Field is ready to rock and roll.
"The recent warmer temperatures have really helped us out," said General Manager Jeff Vohs. "Almost all of the snow has melted allowing us to begin our outside operations. Hopefully I'm not jinxing us and we are able to keep this weather going all the way to Opening Day."
Come out and cheer on your 2007 Midwest League Western Division Champion Beloit Snappers next season! 2008 season ticket packages are now available with plenty of perks to go along with them. Contact a Snappers representative at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit, 608-362-2272, or www.snappersbaseball.com for more information.
The Snappers open up the 2008 season right here at Pohlman Field on Thursday, April 3rd. Beloit will take on the Kane County Cougars at 6:30 pm with gates opening at 5:30 pm. Individual game tickets are on sale now!
