Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
COLUMBUS, Ga. â The Columbus Cottonmouths took four of a possible six standing points over the past week with wins against first-place Knoxville on Tuesday and Huntsville on Christmas night. The Cottonmouths came within three seconds of a three-game sweep of the week's games on Thursday night in Huntsville when the Havoc scored to force overtime and the eventual shootout from which Huntsville would earn the victory. Four games are on the slate this coming week for the Cottonmouths, including three games in three nights. The Snakes entertain Jacksonville on Tuesday and Huntsville on Thursday, both home games, before heading on the road to ring out 2004 on Friday night in Macon and ring in 2005 with a game on Saturday at Asheville. Along with being broadcast on the Internet via Live365, Friday's game will be aired LIVE on WCJM 100.9 FM with Dana Barker, the "Voice of the Snakes," bringing all the action from the Macon Centreplex beginning at 7:00 PM EST. After the game, the "Fourth Period Show," also hosted by Dana Barker, will air on WCJM. The show features a live call-in segment where fans can call in to 706.645.2991 with questions or comments. The two teams last played on December 10 when Columbus came from behind in the third period to defeat Jacksonville 6-5.
Thursday, December 30 â Huntsville at Columbus, 7:30 PM EST (Season Series: Tied 1-1)

THIS GAME WILL BE AIRED LIVE ON WCJM 100.9 FM! The Snakes take to the road for a New Year's Eve game against their instate rivals, the Macon Trax. Columbus last faced the Trax on November 20 when they spoiled Macon's home opener with a resounding 5-2 victory.
Saturday, January 1 â Columbus at Asheville, 7:30 PM EST (Season Series: COL leads 1-0)
The Cottonmouths trek into the North Carolina mountains to play the Asheville Aces at the Asheville Civic Center for the first time this season. The Snakes defeated the Aces in Columbus in their only meeting so far this season, a 4-3 Cottonmouths victory on December 18. COTTONMOUTHS WEEK IN REVIEW
