Friday, November 14 - Columbus 2 at Knoxville 6 (Attendance: 3,610)

Usually, a game against the Knoxville Ice Bears where both Kevin Swider and Tim Vitek are left off the scoreboard and both are a -2 on the night is considered a success for the opposition. This was the case in last night's game in Knoxville, but other Ice Bears rose to the occasion en route to a 6-2 victory over the Snakes. Five different Knoxville players scored, with Frank Furdero leading the way by notching a pair. Tim Green and Lorne Misita lit the lamp for Columbus with Craig Stahl leading all scorers by assisting on both. Orrin Hergott and Tyler Johnson also added assists. The Cottonmouths were 0 for 4 on the power play while Knoxville was 1 for 5. The Snakes' Chad Rycroft turned away 37 of the 43 shots on goal he faced while Knoxville's Kirk Irving repelled 32 of the 34 Columbus shots he faced between the pipes.

Sunday, November 16 - Twin City 3 at Columbus 4 (Attendance: 2,867)

Andrew Dwyer and Daryl Moor picked up their first points of the season by scoring a goal each as the Snakes beat Twin City by an identical 4-3 score as their win against the Cyclones on Thursday night. The game was delayed 18½ hours after Twin City's bus had mechanical problems late Saturday afternoon en route to Columbus. Tim Green and Ryan McCarthy were the other two goal-scorers for the Snakes. Ian Vigier stopped 32 of 35 shots in the win for the Cottonmouths, while Terry Dunbar turned away 22 of 26 shots in the loss for Twin City. The Snakes were 2 for 7 on the power play while Twin City was 2 for 12.

THREE STARS OF THE WEEK

2. F Tim Green - Green scored on Friday night and added another goal and two assists on Sunday.

3. Columbus PP - After a dismal 9.1% performance over the first three weeks of the season, the Cottonmouths were a combined 4 for 19 with the man advantage over the three games last week. - After a loss in his first game of the season against Huntsville on October 24, Rycroft stood tall in stopping 29 of 30 shots in the winning effort against Twin City on Friday night.
