Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
The Columbus Cottonmouths have signed forward Daryl Moor to a contract, and welcome forward Steve Jensen to a three-game tryout.
Moor has been with the Snakes since the 2004 season, registering 76 points in 159 games over four seasons in Columbus. Due to late-season injury last year, Moor wasn't medically cleared to play until Oct. 31, missing the first three games of the season. Since then, he has been signed to two, three-game tryouts, and has now been added to the official 18-man roster.
The Cottonmouths welcome Jensen, a Grand Rapids, MI., native, to Columbus. Jensen played for the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL last season, picking up 10 points in 47 games. He also attended Oilers' camp this season.
"Steve is a high-energy player," head coach Jerome Bechard said. "I played against his brother, and if he's anything like his brother, he should help out her hockey team tremendously."
The Snakes head to Knoxville Thursday, Nov. 20 to take on the Ice Bears. They return home to the Snake Pit Friday, Nov. 21 to take on the Fayetteville FireAntz for the first time this season.
