Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
The Columbus Cottonmouths announced today that Galloway Carroll has been signed to a five-game tryout. He will be in uniform when the Snakes travel to take on the Pee Dee Cyclones Thursday, March 15.
The Edmonton, Alberta native played 36 games with the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League before reporting to Columbus. In 36 games with the Gorillas, he picked up three goals, 10 assists and 44 penalty minutes. Prior to playing in Amarillo, Carroll played for Manhattanville College from 2002-2006, picking up 39 points in 94 total games during his collegiate career.
"Carroll is one of the players I recruited all summer long," head coach Jerome Bechard said. "He started the season in the CHL and that didn't work out, but I'm lucky I could get him down here now. He's a strong defenseman and will really help us out since we have been shorthanded lately."
The Snakes travel to take on the Pee Dee Cyclones Thursday, March 15 before hosting the Huntsville Havoc, March 16 and the Fayetteville Fire Antz, March 17. Saturday's contest is sold out, but tickets are still available for Friday's game vs. the Havoc. For tickets, contact the Cottonmouths office at 706 571 0086 or visit the Civic Center box office.
