Snakes Prepare For Military Appreciation Night, Snake Eyes

The Columbus Cottonmouths will welcome close to 3,000 soldiers from Fort Benning for our annual Military Appreciation Night this Friday, Feb. 26. Members from the 192nd and 198th infantry brigades will be present in uniform when the Snakes take on the Huntsville Havoc at 7:30 p.m. Military Appreciation Night is co-sponsored by TIC Federal Credit Union and the Columbus Airport.

Other vendors have also stepped in to make the night more enjoyable for our troops. Cricket Wireless will have tables set up on the east concourse for soldiers to make free calls to home. Centerplate, concessionaires for the Columbus Civic Center, will be offering a meal exclusively for these soldiers. For $8, soldiers can make a trip through a buffet line, filling their plates with unlimited hotdogs, hamburgers, Bayonet BBQ, pasta salad, baked beans, cookies and brownies. Lemonade and iced tea refills will be available throughout the game.

Active military can show their military ID at the box office to receive discounted $9 upper level tickets for this game, and any regular season game.

Tuesday, March 2 will be the Cottonmouths annual event benefiting the Children's Miracle Network at The Medical Center. This year's event will be Snake Eyes, a casino gaming night. Tickets are $35 per person. The event will offer heavy hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, casino games and entertainment. Snakes players will be on hand to be dealers, provide antics and entertainment for tips, and participate at the gaming tables. Blackjack, Texas Hold 'Em, Craps, and Roulette will be some of the games available for guests. To register, visit www.columbusregional.com.
