Columbus Cottonmouths goaltender Ian Vigier has been named the SPHL player of the week for his performances during the week of February 8. This is the second consecutive week a Snakes player has earned the league's weekly honors, as forward Tim Green received the recognition last week.

Vigier compiled a 2-0 record this weekend, defeating the Huntsville Havoc on back to back nights, with a 1.95 Goals Against Average and .943 save percentage. The Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba native stopped 36 of 38 shots Friday, helping guide the Snakes to a 4-2 home victory. Vigier is in his second season with the Snakes, and currently holds a 12-8-2 record. Throughout the season, he has received several call-ups to South Carolina of the ECHL this season, playing 11 games for the Stingrays. Vigier is currently ranked second among SPHL goaltenders with a 2.83 GAA.

The Snakes play four games in five nights this week, hosting the Twin City Cyclones Tuesday, the Havoc Thursday, then heading to Winston-Salem, NC for a pair of weekend games against the Cyclones. Thursday is Georgia Lottery Night. The first 500 fans, 18+, receive a scratch-off ticket. Dollar hotdogs will be available through Aramark.
