Snakes Announce Schedule Changes

Columbus Cottonmouths News Release


Due to scheduling conflicts with various SPHL arenas, some game dates and opponents have been changed from the Columbus Cottonmouths originally-released 2009-10 game schedule.

Most recently, the Snakes home game on Tuesday, Dec. 29 has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 21, and will still be played against the Fayetteville FireAntz. A road game originally scheduled against the Mississippi Surge on Thursday, Dec. 17 will now be played in Pensacola against the IceFlyers on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

Four games will still be played on the originally-scheduled date, but against different opponents. The Snakes will now travel to Mississippi on Friday, Nov. 13, instead of Louisiana. The Cottonmouths will host the Louisiana IceGators on Friday, Nov. 20 instead of the Mississippi Surge. Mississippi will come to the Snake Pit on Tuesday, Feb. 9 instead of Louisiana, and the Snakes travel to Louisiana on Feb. 19, rather than Mississippi.

The Snakes open training camp Monday, Oct. 12. An exhibition game will be played Friday, Oct. 16. Tickets are $5 and general admission seating. The Snakes open the season at home against the Fayetteville FireAntz Friday, Oct. 23. The first 2500 fans receive a magnetic schedule, courtesy of TIC Federal Credit Union and FOX 54.
