
Smyth Extends Scoring Streak In Outlaws Win Over Dashers

Williamsport, P.A. - Matt Smyth and Rob Sich both tallied hat-tricks in the Outlaws 8-2 win over the Danville Dashers in front of a rocking packed house at Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field.
Newly added Jeff Winchester made his presence known early with his first goal and point with the Outlaws this season at the 5:02 mark of the first period, with the Outlaws on the power play. Matt Smyth picked up the second assist to extend his point streak to seven games.
Ryan Huggett beat Chris Whitley moments later to tie the game for the Dashers, but the tie didn't last long as Rob Sich would knock home a garbage goal on the power play to give the Outlaws a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.
Smyth continued the scoring for the Outlaws with two consecutive goals in the second period, to give the Outlaws a 4-1 lead. Rob Sich would tally his second goal in the later stages of the period to give the Outlaws a 5-1 lead.
Jamie Zaleski scored his fourth goal of the season, and fourth game in three games to give the Outlaws a 6-1 lead heading into the second intermission.
The second period saw three fights in the matter of a minute, as the frustration and the hard hitting style of play boiled over.
Looking for their first hat-trick of the season as a team, the Outlaws didn't have to wait long into the third period, as Smyth would notch his third goal, and fourth point of the night at the :36 mark of the period giving the Outlaws a 7-1 lead.
Moments later, Sich would beat the goaltender for his third goal of the night, and the Outlaws first shorthanded goal and point of the season. Chris Leveille got the first shorthanded assist on the play.
Chris Whitley was stellar between the pipes, turning away 41 of 43 Danville shots in the win.
The Outlaws were 4 for 5 on the penalty kill and were a perfect 4 for 4 on the power play against Danville.

OKE'S TWO POINTS HELP LIFT OUTLAWS OVER PRIVATEERS
Williamsport, P.A. - After falling behind 1-0 to the 100 Island Privateers in the second period, the Williamsport Outlaws would score three (3) unanswered goals to come away with their second win of the season.
Chris Greene got the Privateers on the board with a faceoff early in the second period at the 1:10 mark to make it 1-0.
Williamsport would not have to wait long for an answer, as Jamie Zaleski would beat Matt Anthony for his first goal and point with the Williamsport Outlaws to make it 1-1 at the 1:42 mark of the first period. Tyler Matheson picked up his third assist on the play.
Nathan Oke would pick up his first of two assists moments later when he help spring a 2-on-1 break away for the Outlaws that ended in Chris Levielle burring his third goal of the season from Rob Sich at the 11:15 mark of the second to make it 2-1 Outlaws.
Oke's second assist would come near the end of the second period when he helped out on Martin Moucha's third goal of the season. Matt Smyth would pick up an assist on the play as well, extending his point streak to six straight games.
Chris Whitley was a force in net for the Outlaws, turning away 29 of 30 shots faced and doing a better job of rebound control with the help of his defensemen and forwards.
