
Smokies Wallop Trash Pandas in Game Three

MADISON, AL- The Smokies walloped the Trash pandas with a 19-2 victory on Thursday night. The Smokies set season highs with 19 runs and 18 hits, with 8 of the 9 Smokies starters in the lineup recording a hit.
Tennessee's middle infielders Luis Vazquez and Andy Weber put on a hitting clinic tonight, with Weber going 4-for-6 and Vazquez recording a career high five hits with a home run and three RBI's. Smokies reliever Riley Martin got the win, tossing 2.1 innings and striking out five of the eight batters he faced.
The Smokies put up five crooked numbers throughout the ballgame, including six run innings in the fourth and sixth innings. The Smokies as a team were all over the bases tonight with 35 total bases and were able to knock runners in going 9-for-24 with runners in scoring position in game three.
Tennessee has replicated what they did last week at Birmingham, taking the first three games from the Trash Pandas in this six-game series. Game four is set for 7:35 P.M. ET from Toyota Field. The Smokies will start Ryan Jensen (1-2), while the Trash Pandas are slated to start Victor Mederos (1-1).
