Sevierville, Tennessee -- The Tennessee Smokies Professional Baseball Club, the Class AA Southern League Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, have added RHP Mark Holliman to the active roster. In a related roster move, RHP Jesse Estrada has been placed on the disabled list after taking a line drive to the head against Chattanooga on Monday night.

Holliman rejoins the Smokies after spending the entire 2007 season at the Double-A level. The 24-year old native of Germantown, TN posted a 10-11 record with the Smokies last season, with a 3.57 ERA over 161.1 innings pitched. Holliman's 2007 season was highlighted by a seven-inning no-hitter on June 21st against the Huntsville Stars, a game in which he blasted a home run as well. Mark was selected by the Cubs in the 3rd round of the 2005 draft, and begins his third season of professional baseball.

The Smokies' roster is at the maximum of 24 players.

Tennessee continues their long road swing with game two of a five-game series in Chattanooga tonight at 7:15 pm. The Smokies will return home on Saturday May 10th against the Huntsville Stars at 7:15 PM. Call 286-2300 for tickets or order on-line at www.smokiesbaseball.com.
